Sri Lanka is a beautiful island nation located off the southeastern coast of India, widely known for its exports of tea, coffee, coconuts, rubber and cinnamon. A number of ethnic groups make their home here with the majority being the Sinhalese. Minority groups include Tamils, Moors, Malays, Burghers, and Veddahs—which are the indigenous people of the island. Religion is as varied here as the people groups. Buddhism makes up nearly 74% of the population, yet pockets of Hinduism, Islam and Catholicism can be found throughout the nation. While there is also a Christian “church” presence on the island that has been in existence for 500 years, there is still only a small percentage of born-again believers.

- Pray for mutual respect and harmony among the various ethnic groups on this beautiful island.
- Prayer for strong vibrant Christian leaders to lead the Church to be obedient disciples of Christ.
- Pray that the population of the country will experience the peace and joy of our Lord Jesus Christ in their personal lives.
